The Colorado International Trade Office is the state government
agency responsible for assisting Colorado companies with all aspects
of exporting including:
- Export Counseling - Analyzing Markets, Determining Export
Potential, Identifying Market Entry Strategies, Market Research,
Locating Potential Distributors and/or Agents. The International
Trade Office can answer questions on payment terms, procedures and shipping, among other export-related matters.
- Protocol, Trade Missions, Trade & Catalog Shows, Workshops
and Classes. The International Trade Office works together with
the World Trade Center in Denver and the US Export Assistance
Center to coordinate a Basics of Exporting workshop
series.

The World Trade Center Denver is the premier international
business resource in the Rocky Mountain region. As a member of the
World Trade Centers Association headquartered in New York, The World
Trade Center in Denver is part of a worldwide network of nearly 300

The US Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the US
Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration. The US
Commercial Service has 108 offices located throughout the country
and 150 around the world, covering 96 percent of US export markets.
Their mission is to create prosperity by strengthening the

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service is the first stop in
finding Canadian solutions to the challenges faced by local
organizations: assistance in sourcing from Canada, building your
business in Canada and networking with Canada. The Canadian Trade
Commissioners working with the Rocky Mountain Region of the United
States are stationed at the Consulate General of Canada in Denver’s
office.
The Canadian Consulate General in Denver, Colorado is part of a
network of Canadian Government representation in the United States,
which includes the Canadian Embassy in the Washington DC, ten
Consulates General and three Canadian Consulate Trade Offices. While
the Embassy is responsible for the overall bilateral relationship
with the United States, the Consulates General operate in specific
areas in the US. The Denver Canadian Consulate General's office
covers the Rocky Mountain states of Colorado, Montana, Utah and
Wyoming.

The Northern Ireland Technology and Development Center in Denver
is the only foreign government office in Colorado devoted
exclusively to international trade. They focus on linking Colorado
companies with Northern Ireland companies for the purpose of
increasing business for both parties. The goal isn't to just have
Colorado companies move to Northern Ireland or vice versa but is to
form partnerships between companies on both sides including
customers, distributors, strategic partnerships as well as offering
a European presence to Colorado companies including joint projects,
joint ventures, technology licensing opportunities and contract
manufacture among other types of partnerships. Since opening in
November, 2003, the Northern Ireland Technology and Development
Center has brokered approximately $40 million in business
partnerships between Northern Ireland and Colorado entities in
sectors such as Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Aerospace, Energy,
Software, Telecommunications, Sustainable Development, Natural
Resources and Engineering.

The Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Denver
is part of the network of German Government representation in the
United States which includes the German Embassy in Washington DC,
eight German Consulates General and thirty six German Honorary
Consuls. While the Embassy is responsible for the overall bilateral
relationship between Germany and the United States, the Consulates
General and the Honorary Consuls operate in specific regions in the
United States. The Honorary Consul Office in Denver is responsible
for developing public diplomacy and science and technology
relationships within Colorado and Wyoming. The duties of the German
Honorary Consul include further fostering and promoting trade and
investment between Germany and Colorado and Wyoming by assisting
Colorado and Wyoming companies wishing to establish a presence in
Germany and German companies seeking business opportunities in
Colorado and Wyoming.
